what laptops are best for poker?

I'm interested in getting a laptop to play poker on, but I can't seem to find screen resolution information on any of them. I'd like to be able to 4 table without overlap, what are some options? Thanks.

Standard here in the zoo seems to be a Dell Inspiron 9300 with wuxga screen (1600 by 1200 resoluation). Dell has a huge sale on inspirons - 750 off 1500 or more - or instead just 40 percent off- going on right now. Check out fatwallet.com or slickdeals.net for more details. Poker isn't that intensive of an app, so a pretty basic 9300 should do the trick.

Best of luck.

inspiron 9300 rocks.
Got mine a month or so ago and I love it.

17" screen though so it's a bit bigger than other laptops.
It's just as trasportable though so I don't mind.

The screen res on mine is 1900x1200 which is great. That's the WUXGA+ I believe.

4 tables with no overlap....and still a little room on the side for tourney-lobbies or p-tracker or whatever.

thanks guys. One more thing, I've read and heard that a laptop is one of the only items that it actually makes sense to purchase the extended warranty on, do you agree? I could get a basic bare bones 9300 for less than $900 right now, but the 4 year extended waranty adds another $300+, is this worth it? From what I've heard you need a warranty on a laptop because if the screen goes bad, your screwed. Any thoughts?

As a general rule, insurance is -EV so don't take insurance on a loss that you can afford. Extended warranties on computers are even worse. It comes with a one year warranty so you are only insuring years 2-4. After 2 years it's pretty much obsolete anyway. Spend that $300 on a 7200 RPM hard drive and 1GB RAM.

Search is your friend

btw- best bang for buck is a Dell 6000 with wuxga (1920x1200). Lighter and cheaper than the 9300 because of 15.4" screen.

i have no problems multitabling with the smaller screen.
