what if they just kept the WSOP steps going, and applied it to next year's?

Stars W$ last until the next year, why can't these freerolls?

And why do they have to stop them now? Once the WSOP starts, run them for next year so we can hit 10K entries next year.

That would only work if everything remains the same. If WSOP has a higher buy in next year, they will need to either change the value of each step, or add a 7th step, or something to come up with a new prize package.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone heard any definite answers from Party about this? I was told on May 8th that the WSOP Steps would end in "about a month" and that the end date would be posted on their web site. I haven't seen the end date posted anywhere.

I made the mistake of starting several different steps after being told by Party that unused WSOP Steps would be refunded. So now I have a few mid level Steps that I would rather not have go to waste. I have been playing them, but I keep bouncing between levels.

Any responses would be appreciated.

Are you a valued customer? -LOL- I still can't believe that supervisor said that to me.

But to answer your question, I don't know the answer

I called Party today and spoke to a supervisor about this issue. Their response was that a decision on this would be "made by management" AFTER the deadline. I was also told that it was likely the freeroll would be lost completely if not used.

This treatment completely sucks. They keep saying these steps are a "freeroll" but that is complete crap. There is NOTHING Free about them. When you move up each step...every entry is completely paid by the money players put into the steps. In fact, Party makes a ton of rake off the entry fee they take out of each step entry. I have been playing step 4 thru 6 for weeks...I get no money after each step (other then a higher entry) and Party gets a big entry fee each time. The fact that Party is threatening to take away people's step entries (ON TOP OF THIS RAKE/ENTRY FEES) is complete bullshit. In fact, it is outright theft if you ask me. Party gives absolutely NOTHING for each level entry player's gain.

I hope Party loses a ton of players over this scam. I would never play these tournaments again after this crap.

Give your play to other sites that care about their customers. It's that simple.

Does anyone know what happened to players with freerolls in the Higher Steps before they changed the format?

if you win a "freeroll" for a high buy-in tournament, the T&C stipulate that it has to be used for the next available tournament or it will be lost. If you e-mail PP and ask them, they will give you the same answer.
However, if you don't use your freeroll, it will still be there next time you want to use it.

PP is just a bunch of shameless liars!
