Kurn perhaps your right, I dont know a god damn thing about poker. Or maybe im just a stupid fish who loses ALL the time and complains???

[/ QUOTE ]

and maybe there's a REASON we think that????

[ QUOTE ]
Wrong, I know how to play poker. Am I pro? No. and neither is anyone.

[/ QUOTE ]

a lot of people make a good living playing poker. i call them pros.

[ QUOTE ]
I lost with AA, In fact ive lost alot of times with aces. My whole problem is how does a passive player decide to call a BBx10 raise preflop with a 68o. How is that???

[/ QUOTE ]

i lose with AA all the time. it's called GAMBLING. i win more often than i lose. woohoo!

[ QUOTE ]
I respect your post Kurn, and maybe i should post some hands to prove I did not play anything wrong. And they were indeed bad beats. AND the bad beats come in spurts.

[/ QUOTE ]

WOW you had BAD BEATS! you were 80% to win and you DIDN'T. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN??

and your attitude is horrible. instead of posting hands to prove you're a good player, post some hands to find out why you're NOT a good player. over the long and usually the short haul, GOOD PLAYERS WIN. BAD PLAYERS LOSE.

[quoute]Oh yeah, and for the record. I have folded AA and KK, knowing I was outdrawn.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah well at least you know you're not playing 2-card stud.

Default Re: Are online poker rooms rigged???

This is a pretty funny thread.

Anyway I am also a new player, only been playing for a couple of months.

I turned $50 into $300 playing micros, I also had some decent tourney results.

I thought I was a decent player, but in reality I am still only a beginner.

Of course when I moved up to 50c/$1 games I thought it would still be easy and playing more tourneys would eventually result in a lot more money.

Well of course my results became poor, I have played in a lot of tourneys with nothing to show.

I realised that there is a huge amount to learn when it comes to playing in tourneys and you still need a lot of luck to get in the money.

I mean any idiot can play tight and make raises preflop with premium cards then whine when they suffer from a bad beat. If you are 4/1 favourite preflop then you still have a good chance to lose. Make the same play 5 times and its likely you will bust out.

BTW if you want to be good then you need to study and practice all the time. I don't know how long it takes to be considered good but I'd think it would be the same as for any professional athlete or person.

Just because you dont play hands like J3o doesn't mean you are good. There is still so much to learn.

Default sometimes, i wonder too...me and my girlfriend have had

Queens killed on the river 4 straight times, 3 of those times were to dealt out straights (all were all-ins, giving no one a chance to get odds to hit a straight). i'm trying to get the 4TH hand from the two-table SNG i played under her ID where the Queens got cracked on the river (this hand was one of the straights).

I play passive aggressive poker

[/ QUOTE ]

Passive-aggressive? Is that where you don't actually raise with the best hand, but when the other guy makes his draw you bitch at him for staying in anyway?

He's a drunk who's just been watching Gus Hansen on ESPN?

You want to talk quality laydowns, I've folded 72 knowing I was outdrawn. 72 offsuit.

[ QUOTE ]
Its not hard to figure out what cards a person is holding when its 1v1 in the pot. But when you got rejects calling huge bets with crap hands that flop them a winner, that calls for some serious thought.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or at least some cruel mockery.

[ QUOTE ]
But from a professional stand point, maybe the 68o caller only called to try and bluff me out.

[/ QUOTE ]

I still say the smart money is on alcohol + Gus Hansen.

highly respected poker authors like Al from getting harsh and having to call you a whiner. after reading his response, i almost regret even posting my river beats. i have seen the light, i shall now run for the darkest cover i can find.

I hope this guy has been yanking our collective chain, as Toro suggests, because if not, this is easily the stupidest statement in the history of this site.

Default No Wait, He\'s Right They Are Rigged!!!

A similar thing happened to me. I was playing .25/.50 on Party. I had had built up my initial $25 buy-in to a nice $225 nut. I moved up and began crushing the .50/1. Yeah, I had the occassional bad beat, even put a bad beat on a rube or two. But I'd shake off that occassional bad beat, because just about every move I made was gold. Life was good.

After a couple months, I started two, three, and four tabling the .50/1 limits, and thought a guy could make a pretty good living doing this. I clocked the hours and watched my bank roll grow.

I was living large with a fat $500 b.r., and then it happened. The bad beats started coming a little more frequently. Players would raise and reraise my pocket aces and pocket kings with 72o and the flop would come 772 (what are the chances). I also noticed my computer response time had become a little slower. I scanned my computer for spyware and trojan horses. Though I uncovered nothing, I'm well acquainted with phantom spyhorses. My bank roll went down to $25. I got a new hard drive, and a new monitor (because I heard viruses can sometimes crawl up and hide in your monitor). I wrote Party about the teams of pattern mappers, who were manipulating the probabilities. But of course they did nothing. They were in on it. Juice up the hands to get a bigger rake (think about it, if they're getting a % of the rake, it's in their interest to goose up the pot. That's obvious).

And like you said, every friggin payday I would put a big chunk of my check into my account to get the 15% bonus (the only EV+ play or so it would seem), and sure enough I'd bust out within two or three hours. Once, I sh*t you not, I had AA in the SB and raise, BB comes over the top, I raise he caps (I put him on kings, because I'm a pretty good hand reader). The flop comes AAK. We go four bets. The turn is a K we go another four bets. ANd the river is a K. We go four more, I show him my quads, see ya sucker, and he shows pocket KKs!!! He's got five f'ing Kings. What the f*ck?!? I wrote to Party after that one, and they said there was some technical glitch (yea, right), and I got my money back, but that's not the point.

I began profiling players and have conclusive evidence that 75% of the players I was up against were Party Poker bots. I took my last $1.25 and got the hell out of there. I've now contacted an attorney and we are preparing to file a class action suit against Party and other sites for fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. If there is justice we will prevail.

If you care to join our class action, details will be forthcoming. There will be a small fee for anyone seeking to join our class action in order to retain our attorney (he's one of the best in the field, he successfully sued NASA to release all documents pertaining to Lot 57).

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.

Stay tuned.
