You don't need coffee. I never drink it, I have plenty of energy and I'm a lot older than you.

i hate advice like this

[/ QUOTE ]

You are right. I'm sorry.

Here is my advice. Drink coffee and you will get used to the taste. That is how I moved from regular milk to skim milk.

I hope your new coffee addiction works out well for you.

I drink my coffee black always have, but never drink it without a sweet accompaniment. Many possibilities here like donuts, panckes, sweet rolls, etc. and my favorite Twinkies. For some reason i don't get heartburn with Twinkies like i do with some of the other sweets.

Speak for yourself you [censored] freak. Coffee is good for me because drinking it prevents the serious headaches I get when I don't drink it.

i noticed the apology, and good thing

"You come on here and say you don't like coffee but you are going to force yourself to start drinking it because it seems everyone else is doing it."

erm, no. read my first post. I quote: 'coffee would reaallllly help me with college in the mornings.'

'Someone suggests something you don't want to hear and you single him or her out so the majority of people here will think you are cool. Think about it.'

no, i single them out because they gave advice whose only merit was that it worked for them. think about how silly that is. people are different.

And they should give you advice that didn't work for them?

um, no.

when i tell you to go on an atkins diet, for example, and you ask me why, and the only thing i can come up with is that it worked for me, are you dead set on using atkins? I think not, unless you are a lemming.

now please read my posts more clearly and try not to be such a smartass. thanks.

I want something that tastes good, not something that I try to prove my manliness with by how foul a substance I can tolerate.

Just a small amount of milk (not cream) to cut the acid. No sugar.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is what im going to try. thanks for all the suggestions. the running couldnt hurt either but i am really not a morning person.

Forget black coffee as a viable option...only the rarest of coffees are palatable straight...it's the stimulant version of drinking liquor straight without a mixer.

Try this: go try coffee ice cream at an ice cream shop. If you like the way it tastes, then coffee with cream and sugar is the way to go. If you don't like it, then maybe try the black stuff. If you still don't like it, hey, there are other caffeine options out there(hot tea, Red Bull, No Doz, etc.)
