I just read this post, but believe me, I knew what type of thing it would involve: I play some hand in some screwy way, and make a horrible laydown at the most incorrect time, and I can justify it by saying it's like how Tommy would play it.

Terrible. I challenge anyone who has actually played with Tommy to suggest that he does anything like this... ever.

To those who haven't gotten the wonderful opportunity to play with the Tommy, let me tell you that it is both more than what you could wish for and less. More in that the guy is exactly the way that you could imagine him from his writing; witty, clever, full of puns, and a genuinely good guy. Far less in that he really plays the typical boring, solid poker that winning players use to beat the games, day in, day out. You hear about his crazy three hands per year on these boards, and really, they aren't that crazy. His other 45000 hands per year are quite boring. Trust me.

Stop claiming that you are "Angelonian" when you do something stupid at the poker table. You're just being stupid, and fooling yourself but nobody else.

As for your hand, I don't know why you 4 bet the turn with trips but then folded when raised on the river when a nine came, unless he showed you his hand before you folded.
