I'll add my faovrite fortune cookie to that one.

Experience comes from bad judgement.

I think that all Yankee fans that are not from NY are weak little children deep down inside.

[/ QUOTE ]

I live in NY and I'm willing to contend that Yankees fans, in-state ones included, are all weak little children inside. Example: Zack still hasn't made his post about being back that he said he'd make like a month ago

I went to take a test a couple of days after the ARod deal and I overheard some nerdy kid say to another "I can't believe we got that third baseman from Texas! He's gonna hit like 100 homers this year and break the Babe's HR record!"

In general Yankees fans are a joke. The only ones I'm willing to give any respect to are the ones that (a) were born before the Mets were created, and (b) are willing to admit Jeter can't play defense for [censored] and his grossly overrated

Default Please Help

This is something that never got settled. Can anyone tell me if it's "right" to raise the flop or turn? I contended that it's better to raise the turn, and a couple of people said the flop, but we never resolved anything

me pointlessly arguing

So lets have some debate. If you think someone is wrong, it doesn't matter who, say so. Everyone will learn more in the process.

[/ QUOTE ]

Along with side action for how many responses it takes for the main debaters in the thread into a namecalling, pissing contest which it always seems to degenerate into.

But the 'getting to that point' is usually pretty useful.

I thought feeney and astroglide had a great thread going.

Make an argument and defend it. There is no debate here anymore.

I've retreated to playing 10-20 limit in the mid high and all No limit online.

But, now I'll pop back in now and then just to rip into some people who over play JJ out of position.

Sorry I've been away for a few weeks.

I'll keep an eye out for some good ones.

Part of the reason is there are simply too many hands posted. There is a lot of noise on this forum at times as well (not to pick on the poster, but posting a hand about a flopped straight flush with the betting capped on each round is an example - not to mention that the poster never even came back to the thread to complete it). It's tough to even find the interesting hands.
