Following up on the stud mentions ... any of these new rooms spreading any omaha/8? Maybe as part of a HOE or split stud game?

[/ QUOTE ]

No rotation at either room. I didn't see Omaha on either list, I would have played in a low limit game just for the experience (I have only played Omaha one live before).

scrub, I wondered about this myself. I can't see them all surviving 2 years from now, especially if the Borg expands as planned.

As to your other post, what is this evolution theory of yours?

I think an oversupply of cardrooms in a gambling town is terrible for the poker economy, and it is particularly dangerous for middle-limit professionals.

I was nervous about this when I heard that so many rooms were opening up in AC.

Somebody will come out on top.

Maybe, FINALLY, a casino will start offering decent comps for Poker Players.

The Taj is still the place for middle limit and up stud and holdem games. For bigger NL games, go to Borgata or Tropicana.

As discussed, there seem to be a lot less bigger games in AC now, as so many professionals are in Vegas for teh WSOP.

Do you think anything decent (i.e. 6/12 or 10/20) will be spread this afternoon/early evening? I've never played down there on a Sunday before (esp. a holiday weekend), so I have no idea if it's worth the trip.

Oh, definately on weekends. Probably 20/40, 40/80, and 80/160 too. Plenty of big holdem games at the Taj too.

While in Las Vegas in June I saw several Borgata 6/12 through 20/40 regulars in various casinos, as well as several NYC club players.

Me too.

Also, a lot of Foxwoods 20 regulars.

I never wrote a trip report, but there was a pretty funny Bugstud v. Bigfoot confrontation in a 15 game I played in at the Wynn.
