Default What time is this on in the Los Angeles area?

[ QUOTE ]
Ok so according to my TV guide they're supposed to show this at 9 a.m. today on NBC here in California but instead they're showing "Hispanic Today" right now

The online TV guides just plain suck. I don't have cable and have missed most poker shows (except when I get a friend to tape them for me).

Does anybody have the right time for the broadcast in the LA area?

LA is showing it at 3PM. They made a last-minute change.

As for Prahlad Friedman...he was Spirit Rock but is now Mahatma, I believe. All on UB, though I'm sure he plays elsewhere.

Definitely stick with the show. Show 1 is not nearly as strong as the remaining episodes.

It is indeed too bad that the show is not on at a better time, i.e. primetime, but again, a few yrs ago, NBC would never have considered airing the show in the first place. These things take time.

Next week will be fun. Hellmuth v. Phillips on Sunday is classic. I saw the way NBC cut it and it comes out great.

I missed the episode today, is it an all-in fest a la PSI2 or WSOP? If so I'll probably jsut skip it next week too...

Careful, in the B&M forum you'd be labeled a racist scumbag for not saying "Unspecified Ethnic Group Today."

Am I the only one that though tthe HU show was really really crappy? They seriously probably showed about 10 hands in the hour. At least with the Superstars they actually show a few hands, even though they are all in hands. I hope the shows will get better, but as I am sure they have already been taped, I am expecting the worst.

I thought that reading cardplayer logs about HU championship was more entertaining than what I saw on TV today.

I think the producers believe that people are not tuning in for the poker, but rather the drama, human interest, money, and so forth.

They're wrong about all of us. I don't know about others, but ESPN's WSOP and the WPT do just fine by showing lots of hands. Not sure if NBC is really up for this..

It's not wonderful, but I'd rank Gabe Kaplan ahead of Norman Chad.

And yeah, there were a lot of poker site commercials... maybe that's part of the reason why they expanded the coverage.
