There is usually a waiting list at Caesars so you pretty much have to play where they put you.

Sorry SB... that quote was actually because I thought his comments about Evan were funny. I wasn't refering to you.

Also, I notice that your sessions do not seem to be too long, so that may suggest you are playing too many hands, or perhaps chasing with hands you shouldn't be? If you are in the lead a lot and get sucked out on the river a lot, that is a different story. I have no idea how the games there play.

I don't get out much, I miss a lot.

I don't know what someone means when they say SNAP. I understand snapping off a bluff but that is about it.

That's eight losers out of nine sessions and down $1,182 in 28.75 hours

i think i found your problem. lets just round it to 29 hours. 29 hours / by 9 sessions, thats only about 3 hours per sessions. your sessions are WAYYYY too short. 3 hour sessions, my god.

when i play, i play 12-14 hour sessions. only way to get some real results.

My game goes to Hell in a handbasket after about six hours. It is tough enough playing fresh.

ok, then stop at 5.5 hours. Take a break for dinner, and continue. Short sessions don't give you a chance to win as many big pots.

If you are running dry of cards, take a break and recognize that this is why you are running bad.

[/ QUOTE ]

And how will taking a break help?

Now I leave when I get tired or lose my 20 BB.

[/ QUOTE ]

Its a bad idea to play until you are bust - technically you should reload as soon as you fall below 12BB (obviously this is easier online than live). I think this is espeically true is loose SS games, where you might win one monster pot that makes up for a whole seesion.

What I do is sit down with a bit more money (25BB) and then when my stack gets small I tell myself that I either need to reload or just leave. Basically, I figure that if I'm hesistant to risk another buy in for whatever reason (I'm tired, the game's not good, etc...) then I shouldn't be risking what's left of my stack. I feel like I've made a lot of money off of people blowing off their last chips because they are "trying to go home".

Something that worked for me: I took a break from hold 'em and devoted myself to stud for about a month. Read some books, played on-line, played in a casino. It forced me to learn a new game and keep thinking about poker, but got my mind off hold 'em. I just got back to hold 'em the last two weeks and I've had two really good sessions. For me, that helped out alot.

Probably not, but you can't be too careful. I don't think you have to actually wear a shirt like that for it to be bad karma.

Also, buy in for more, and be inclined to reload if you get short-stacked, as long as the game is good and you're playing well. I also think that playing short sessions is just fine.
