Who knows, maybe they will call.

[ QUOTE ]
See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you
Slight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails he makes me wait
And I wait without you

With or without you
With or without you

Through the storm we reach the shore
You give it all but I want more
And I'm waiting for you

With or without you
With or without you
I can't live
With or without you

I make the call, but its more a factor of the payout structure than pot odds. In tourneys like this, the next considerable jump doesn't usually happen for quite a few more spots so now that you are in the money I'd be looking to gamble it up here with almost anything and try to get a stack you can play with.

This really looks like a situation where you are likely making a -EV call, buts its still better EV than folding and seeing what happens next hand.

As for my cutoff for folding. I'm prolly calling with Any A or K, any pair, and suited connector, big unsuited connectors, most suited cards, and a likely a few more hands.

I agree that you have to look at the other branch of the decison tree if you fold here - it doesn't look too promising. I put all this together and get some kind of decision like I'm calling with at least the top 60% of hands.

I agree. I think calling with any two cards might be right but I think I would only do that if I didn't look before I called.

Yeah, the one thing I don't like to call here with is big-little offsuit...you're almost certainly dominated by one of them on the ace, and if that's the case, are drawing mighty thin...and you're about to have the button and some good position cards coming after the sb...gotta lay it down IMO

I wonder how the hell I got into this situation, and reluctantly call with about 100% of hands I have. Like someone said, just winning the side pot is +EV, and you've got at least a 30% chance of picking that up, and at worst 20% chance of picking up the main pot.

Well Vince, if this wasn't fabricated, what hands did they show?

I have to figure the 5k AI was to isolate, so what would you isolate with?

But under those circumstances, calling does seem automatic, not happy about it, but automatic.

I believe that UTG had Q,J and the big stack had J,J. An A came and I would have won bt this was not a bad beat story this was jjust to see if people agree that calling was correct
