There is no cap, since we're heads up. If I 4-bet, he could make it 5-bets. Not that that necessarily makes it wrong to 4-bet, but it's something to consider.

That's all the really matters. 4-betting and calling are close enough to equal to not to worry about it.

Thanks for the elaboration. I guess I shouldn't feel bad about just calling.
My first thought when I saw his hand was that I had done that thing I've been trying not to do, and it disturbs me when I do things I'm trying not to do despite trying not to do them. Hence the post. |

ah, I for some reason I thought it was online, where there usually is still a cap. In that case, I still might make it four, but you could be in trouble if he goes 5. I figure he would raise the turn, however, if he either a) had a 6 or b)had flopped a straight. I think the only hands he 3 bets here that beats you is K-6 or KK. He probably just has a K and a good kicker (although thats easy to say after seeing the results).
