Why do you look to see who is multi-tabling? You assume they are better?

I would look to see who's probably not paying so much attention to the game I'm at.

this an interesting idea.
i would think that most players who multi-table are probably better players.

almost all of the fish i have on my buddy-list only play 1 table at a time. this also lends to palying more hands i think.
the players who multi-table are more likely to be playing much tighter on each of their tables.

that said though...i think some of the lousier multi-tablers especially may play overly tight and thus could be more susceptible to steal attempts as well as semi-bluffs. they are more likely to fold if they have marginal holdings in the face of any kind of aggresion at all.

but, again, overall i assume that the multi-tablers are usually going to be a bit better and a bit tighter than the single-tablers.

Fish get bored playing one table at a time too.

I'm at just over 15,000 hands and at 4.96 BB/100 after taking a bit hit where before I was always at 5.5 or so BB/100.

While I don't think this winrate is sustainable unless you are an expert player(even then it's unlikely), if you can keep a longterm winrate over 2BB/100, there is absolutely no reason to stay at .5-1.00. Move up to 1-2 or 2-4 as long as you have a sufficient bankroll. If you can keep a similar winrate there, keep on moving up. Honestly, you're wasting your time and money if you're playing .5-1 with that kind of winrate.

The thing is, is I'm pretty new. Only my 28th day playing limit and learning more and more every day. I do play some $2/$4 and do fine there now. I just like to have a solid base and then once I feel comfortable (thus my sometimes weak play) I move up. I know I have the BB/100 and the hands to prove I can move up now, I'm just doing it slower.

I have heard this before but 2 BB/100 is good or great? like 2 BB/100 should be the minimum before you consider moving up or should it be 3+ BB/100.

yeah...somewhere around there i think.
my BB at 2/4 is just 2.5BB/100 but i decideed to move up anyway and continue working on my game.

i think you are playing .50/1 right??
in that case....3BB/100 is probably more like it (at least).

obviously, it gets tougher the higher you move up (supposedly).
so you probably don't need to bring your 10/20 win-rate to a full 3BB/100 to consider a move to 15/30.

but at .5/1 it should be much much easier obviously.

wow, lots of replies
I'll probably stay att 0.5/1 until i feel confident about my game and reach the 300BB's for 1/2.
Thanks for the compliments about my english
I'll try to post some hands later when I have the time.

Maybe i'll take a walk on the wild side and try to respond to some posts.
I probably can learn quite a lot by writing incorrect replies and being proved wrong by some experienced players.
