West is a superb beginner book. I haven't read Kammen. Once you've absorbed West and played awhile, his book ceases to be useful. But when I was starting, it was much more valuable than any other book.

I got Adams' book because he's one of the very few posters on RGP with a good attitude, and I enjoy reading him there. I won't venture a critique because it would be 'dropping trou' in front of the guys here who actually know what they're doing.
That said, I recognize much of the advice he gives in the book as being straight out of TOP. |
