I get the feeling this would only be possible by:
1. Playing NL. 2. Multi-tabling. 3. Having very good game selection. 4. Playing unreal amounts of hours per day. 5. Being immune to tilting after long sessions. At limit: (100days, 12 hours per day). (100k goal / total hours). (Per hour goal / 3 tables) = ~$30/(hour*table). Assume you win 2BBs per hour per table, stakes would be 8/16. So that's 3 tables at, 8/16, 12 hours a day at the top of your game every hour. With a 10BB per hour edge at NL, you start hitting a more realistic goal. |

I have chosen a different path, which I stumbled upon quite by accident. #2 is the only point that I adhere to right now. soda |

As was said... if you can make $500k/year playing poker... why waste your time writing a book!? At least until after a few years when you have a nice nestegg in the bank. [/ QUOTE ] This is a great point and a concern of mine. I think it is important to keep notes each day while I'm playing though. I don't need to write the book now, but I am keeping track of how I do and feel during each day. soda |

I'm pretty certain that there are a number of people who have already made 100k in 100 days playing online poker.

Great idea! I'll buy it.
BTW, if you do accomplish this goal--I'm single and I'll pm you my phone #. |

Sounds interesting.
Playing 15-30 you need to make over 33BB a day. If a good player can average 2BB and hour (Is this possible as limits go higher? Is it more like 1 - 1.5 BB?) you need to play 16 hours a day. Obviously some sort of multi-table strategy is in order here. Perhaps 30-60 is a better limit, but then your BB per hour will decrease. Hmmm... |

I say just play for 100 days and put whatever you win on the cover
How exciting a book "-10K in 100 days" would be though ? |

What's the easiest way to make a million dollars on the stock market? Write a book on how to make a million dollars on the stock market.
I'm extremely skeptical and I'd probably consider it a work of fiction, but if you pull it off you certainly wont give a damn what I think! I wonder though, will a companion book have to be written? What will pulling 100k out of a game in 100 days do to the game? I'm curious about that as well. What if a few people pull in this kind of money? How big a player pool would a game or set of games need to survive? Even if 100k is possible, I don't see it holding up over the long term even in the ever expanding world of on-line poker. Interesting...
I wonder myself how many people are pulling more money out of this game than I am. I also worry that this isn't going to last forever. I do believe that we are on the upswing, my personal concern is that I need to continue to improve my game to remain one of the best players on this site. Some of the people that were fish just last week have improved their game remarkably. You can only lose 5k a week for so long I guess. Ahh, so you are skeptical. That's good. Makes me think that maybe this goal is one that people will appreciate as an achievement of some worth. soda |
