You need 25 "quality" posts to get in to prove your contribution to the forum. [/ QUOTE ] What quality are you after? |

Re: My thoughts on tournament entry requirements
I would suggest a method of opening a small number of slots. We will then collect the following data from every board member: Weight, Height, Age, Eye Color, Urine Analysis, ABO (amount body odor) and social security number. Based on these numbers and a rigorous four-week period at a physical training camp, we can select the best possible members for the tournament.

Re: My thoughts on tournament entry requirements
Being a lurker for several months now and rarely posting unless I have something to say or contribute, the Zoo tourneys sound fun and I would jump at the chance to participate, but I'm content to following the rules and waiting until I hit xx number of quality (however that's judged) posts, even if it takes another year or so.
That said, nyah nyah to your exclusive tight-aggressive Zoo club! serling |

If only everyone adopted that attitude there would be no problems. The whole 'quality' issue has been blown up out of proportions - basically, unless the 25 posts are replying to yourself with n/m, there should be no problem in becoming eligible once the 25 mark is hit. There is a solution now anyhow - once a month there will be the King of the Zoo, but there looks like there will be Inthacup's event, which is open to all I believe. Simon |

My goat and buzzard are lurkers. If they learn how to read and write and make 25 posts can they play too?

Re: My thoughts on tournament entry requirements
I am new to 2+2 and to the art of poker. Does this make me not worthy to play in these tournys?? Where would Moneymaker be, if this type of thinking applied to the WSOP?? Though I have alot to learn about the game and this site, I thought as a newbie, I would speak up for all the newbies out there! Since we cant play is it ok if we watch?? Or do we need 10 "quality" post to get past the velvet ropes to watch the great ones play?

Re: My thoughts on tournament entry requirements
Serling,
If you'd like to play in "The Zoo does TruePoker", send me a PM and we'll discuss the procedure on signing up. My hope is that this tourney will encourage new players like you to post in this forum more. Talk to you soon. Cup |

Re: My thoughts on tournament entry requirements
darryl,
I think that your maybe taking this the wrong way. Those of us that have been here (2+2) for awhile, welcome the contributions of anyone new to the forum. After all, we were all "newbies" at one time. These tournys are in no way strictly for the elite, but rather a gathering of friends/associates that have grown to know each other's thoughts/personalities over time and want to get together for our own tournament and have a little fun. I sorry if you feel left out. Continue to post questions/comments/opinions and I look forward to seeing you at a gathering in the near future. |
