Re: Rip this Boz

JTo in EP 10 handed... insta-muck. Why did you bet the flop? You basically only have a BDSD. The flop should be C/F. Folding the turn was correct given the action so far. Why do you think you have 6 outs? It's very likely that you have zero outs! You are drawing dead to anyone with 2 pair or only a single Q. I would expect to see UTG+2 to turn over Q6-QJ or a garbage 2 pair like 64s. I don't see you winning this pot ... well like hardly ever unfortunately. |

what you're supposed to do is raise this preflop, bet every street, win with a rivered straight and complain about how weak-tight we all are. [/ QUOTE ] Arggg.. I always forget about this line! |

Should I have seen the river? I see 6 outs to improve but not strong enough to bet. [/ QUOTE ] Fold preflop. Fold the flop. I think this flop bet is terrible. Bluffing into four players at these stakes is generally extremely -EV. The pot is tiny and you have absolutely nothing. Let it go. |

Re: Rip this Boz
My thoughts...
Playing JTo in that EP is probably not a good idea. JTs I can see. Flop isn't that scary (rainbow, one overcard, you have a 3 connected backdoor straight draw) so I like the flop bet. If nobody has a Q or pocket pair you're probably taking down the pot here. You get callers and give up on the hand, guy bets, you fold. Completely standard. I don't see how you can justify putting money in possibly drawing dead against a pair of Q's with only 6 outs to overtake A high or K high. Way too marginal of a situation, fold and save your bets for bigger and better things. |

Re: Rip this Boz

I fold JTo preflop from UTG+1. Flop: THere's an overcard to our hand that's very popular, meaning our already dirty pair outs are even less likely to be good, and we have a backdoor straight draw. I don't see the point in betting out, here. I check/fold. Still nothing helping our hand on the turn, I play the same. |

Re: Rip this Boz
Don't like anything except the turn fold. I'm generally mucking this in this position. Do you have a reason for betting the flop?

Fold PF--the hand plays differently from there.
