Golly, what do I know. I put him on a set of 2s right from the start and figured you were capping the river dead. But if there is only 1 way he can have you beat and several ways the aggressive player can be over-playing his hand, then go for it.

I thought calling, instead of 3-betting, was just enough to show your opponent some sort of weakness. A raise here, and your opponent might think he's drawing dead, and therefore, won't put in 7 bets on the river.
