Default Re: Difference between live and internet players....

Generally, the character of your bet can be used to influence and control weak players.

IE:

5-10 live, 10 handed
5 ppl in the pot (including me)

Im in the BB with J4o.

Flop comes JJKr.

I hesitate for a moment and then bet. Its folded to the guy on the button who raises. I pause, and timidly call him.

Turn comes blank.
I check "without thinking" -> that refers to the time it took me to do it. He bets. I pause for a moment, and say "raise" and then toss the chips in his direction so that they make a sound and splash a bit. He calls.

River comes 4.
I bet. He calls. "I've got a boat"

After that hand, I now have it set up with that player that strong means strong and weak means weak.

You can mix up these sorts of things with different players. Many smarter players that you "toss" chips at will know what you are doing, and they might play back at you. If yu know they will do this, this is a source of more profit.
