OK my mistake, perhaps "well-respected" is not generally acceptable to forum members.

I have only been an occasional visitor here for the last few months as I now value playing poker over endlessly repeating postings about AKo. I have many of his posts here and elsewhere and they seemed well thought out and the advice pertinent.

Judging by the huge wave of responses to his original post on getting table-coached, coupled with the posts I have read by him, I assumed he was well liked/respected. Perhaps not by everybody, but I will reserve judgement on that issue; there is enough sniping going on here already.

I would certainly never put Jason_t on the same page as these guys. What were you thinking?

Exactly naphand, and this is why my posts have gone so warped, everytime I read this forum, I see the same bunch of guys circle jerking out the same answers then when people object they say no you're wrong and quote some big name poster and continue on, it's like reading a [censored] counter strike forum or something.

Also to add I still read these forums so regularly because I continute to find plenty of great stuff from many of the other regulars, including those that I think play too loosely but they always have interesting postflop situations for me to look at and that's challenging in itself because I get to think from the perspective of a 30/20 player which in itself lets me know how to play with them as a 22/16 type.

I wish I knew what you meant but I don't, perhaps I should. Example?

EDIT: I just googled it.

Socratic irony is feigning ignorance in order to expose the weakness of another's position.

Very good. Just don't overdo it...
