They have the QB challenge every year which includes the long throw. I could only find the results from 2002 and it's only a handful of players.

(3) LONG DISTANCE THROW
Quarterback First throw Quarterback Final results
Aaron Brooks-69....Aaron Brooks- 73
Tom Brady-65.......Peyton Manning- 68
Jake Plummer-65....Jake Plummer- 67
Jeff Garcia-65.....Jeff Garcia- 66
Peyton Manning-64..Tom Brady- 65
Doug Flutie-62.....Doug Flutie- 63

[/ QUOTE ]
Wow. They really managed to recruit one helluva group of QBs that year, didn't they? These are probably the only 5 starting QBs that can't throw it 70 yards.

Bet Manning, Brooks, and Plummer still can. They are darn close here in a good for nothing, be darn sure not to get hurt effort. Proper moitvation and they all do it with ease.

Also what was the wind doing in the game with the college kid. Enough downwind and even I might do it.

I saw anthony wright for the ravens try to throw it as far as he could and it went like 50 yds. granted hes in the league for his legs also. boller could definitely throw it 70 although it does not really help in the games.

Has anyone actually watched these? They have a narrow alley in which they must land for the throw to count. Many/most of these guys could go 70 given several attempts if they really needed to. But in the offseason, who is going to try to strain an arm. Plus, these are in Hawaii. Put a guy in the thinner air of the mainland, non-humid, and I'd say at least 28 of 32 NFL starters could do it.

the cool trick is hitting that circle on the goalpost where the two uprights meet in the center. i bet if you just let them do whatever they want in any clothing they want that about a third (if i assume 3 qbs/team at least one on each team could do this) of the nfl qbs could do it. im sure there are plenty of backups with strong arms, they just make crapass decisions during games.

When I was a senior QB in HS I could throw the ball 70+ yards...No bull [censored] either.

Could you run the 4.25 and bench 450 as well?

Actually no I ran like a 4.6 or 4.7 and benched 285 at that time.

Nah, about 8-10 can throw it 70 into the end zone. Brooks, Culpepper, McNabb, Favre, Vick, Leftwich maybe, Delhomme, Plummer maybe. Not too many others merit consideration. NFL QB isn't about armstrength to be a starter - Montana, Brady not really big cannons there. It's about accuracy and good decision making.

Yeah, if you gave some guys 100 throws, more NFL QBs would make it, but one throw one try? I say 9-10 guys.
