this is great man, sorry Toro. [/ QUOTE ] Surprisingly, I don't feel bad. The team just wasn't good enough this year. I'm hopeful about the future of the team since for the first time the front office is doing the right thing by building the farm system. I'm glad Theo didn't sell out at the trade deadline to rent players for our prospects. There was no one out there that could have made the difference and we still have all our great prospects intact. |

Surprisingly, I don't feel bad. [/ QUOTE ] That's because you're not crying on your pillow, screaming, "I'll NEVER see them win it all! NEVER!!" As far as I'm concerned, we've still got four years left in the Five Year Grace Period--and they made a helluva run without Pedro, Foulke, or a healthy Schilling (he's still not right yet, may never be). |

Re: Official Redsoxs out of playoffs thread
[ QUOTE ]
I couldn't be happier, I always hated the Red Sox because of the whole BS "curse" garbage when the cubs have it far worse, all the stuff about Fenway Park and the ridiculous media coverage, and Peter Gammons. Yet I couldn't go into full-scale wanting them to lose because if they won, I wouldn't have to hear about them as much. Now that they have a title, I can fully hate them, in fact I have become a Yankees fan simply because of the rivalry, and I have always been a White Sox fan for geographical reasons, although I prefer the Cubs at heart. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like you've got your bases covered. The Cubs fan part isn't much of a surprise. |
