Re: 30/60: Hand against a maniac
Playing a hand perfectly given those exact circumstances and playing the hand perfectly for all instances when you have identical information are totally different things.
In a 3 way pot for someone with pocket deuces, there's a bet and a raise by two people holding draws with overcards. Calling is (possibly) correct if you knew both villains were on a draw, but it's downright retarded to do so. Almost every other time he's facing a bet and a raise, he's drawing to two cards. He has no reason to believe that particular situation is different from the one where both villains had draws. Similarly, calling with 6/7 on the turn is retarded when it's extremely likely that neither of your pair outs are good. One bet on the flop may be alright (if you were shitty enough to put yourself in this situation in the first place), but i'd hardly regard it as perfection. There are only 3 decisions you can make; none of which would be terrible given his holdings on that flop. |
