Re: Raised out of two hands
Hand 1
If you didn't fold when it was raised to you once then why would you fold for one more raise. Personally, with a small pocket pairs from an early position I'm either going to raise so that I can represent if something scary comes out on the flop or limp and fold to action. Once I made the decision to match that first raise I would have certainly match the second one. There is just too much money in the pot to not match it. Hand 2 This is a hand situation I get in sometimes and I typically screw it up. I think it depends on the raiser. I have come to play this in a late position by reraising the original raiser to hope to get a free card if I am on a good flush draw or really any draw. I typically play it kind of like you did. Call the raise and fold to the bet if I don't improve and don't have a high pair. If there was any action preflop I would be thinking that he has trips. He may be on the 9 with an A kicker if he's an aggressive player. |

"I would 3-bet pre-flop"

Re: Raised out of two hands
Thanks for the all the replies - they were very helpful for me. I now realize what an easy call it was on the first hand (the bb re-raise threw me off). I admit to not being comfortable at 2/4, I thought I'd take a shot, and I think my opponents picked up on my weak play. Back to 1/2!
