Re: AKo - I still can\'t play Overcards!
I didn't have a clear idea of how many outs I had. I knew didn't want to give myself the full 6. I also knew he didn't cap. So there were a few potential hands I was ahead of and there were many I was behind (several possible pairs). The flop call seemed OK, but the turn didn't feel right at those odds. If someone could put a clearer number on my outs, it would help me determine if the turn fold was correct.

Re: AKo - I still can\'t play Overcards!
Is there something about UTG that we need to know? Cuz either you don't have the odds to make the call on the flop (if you believe he has AA/KK and you only have 3 outs) or you do have the odds to make the call on the turn (if you believe you have 6 outs). Would he raise 33/66/77 UTG? Would he only raise AA/KK UTG?
My thinking is that, since he didn't cap preflop, but DID bet out the flop, he's probably got 88/99/TT/JJ/QQ and is worried about giving you a free card. A raise on the flop might get you a free turn, a raise on the turn might get you a free showdown. Against an unknown, I say call the flop, raise the turn, and take your free showdown or fold UI. |

I wouldn't have played it any differently

I think this hand is fine. If you had folded the flop, I would not have complained. [/ QUOTE ] That's a little of a stretch I think our 6 outs are good here alot of the time |

Re: AKo - I still can\'t play Overcards!
I dont think we have any info to say that we are up against AA,KK or Ax that paired the board.
I think folding the flop is a mistake. Not a huge one but a mistake. |

Re: AKo - I still can\'t play Overcards!
He's referring to the partial outs concept in SSHE. Count each overcard as 1.5... so AK would be 3. It might not apply here since it's unlikely the UTG raiser would have A3, A6, or A7 (or K3/6/7).
