[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] if you know he's got AA/KK, he's gonna bet this flop. why not c/r the flop and lead the turn? [/ QUOTE ] we need to take care not to frighten our customers. what hand that he beats plays that way? fim [/ QUOTE ] good point. but what hand that he beats makes a pot sized bet on the flop, calls a re-raise, and then blasts the turn? [/ QUOTE ] QQ ? JJ ? |

Nice line. I'd usually go ahead and reraise on the flop, but this line is solid.

i get allin on the flop...
[ QUOTE ] Lately I've been doing this against players who don't know me. anyone else tried this instead of the vanilla turn c/r? few limps, 3K i cover rock raises to 60 from button, i call with 88 on SB, others fold cos they know this is AA/KK. 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (150) I lead for 150, rock makes it 400, i call 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (950) I bet 700 fim [/ QUOTE ] |

Quote: and call the c/r. I like a play like that better on an uncoordinated board. but not at all with this part. what draw bets the flop and checkraises the turn all-in after the board pairs? [/ QUOTE ] Right, but there is 950 in the pot. If you check he will most likely bet btwn 750 and 2500 (AI) at this point if you check raise there is a very good chance you get called. As an alternative you could check call the turn and lead at the river, but you could easily have your action killed by a scare card I still prefer the turn c/r |

Re: The \"Yay! I Suck at Pokaer! :) Lollers ;) \" Set Line Deep 5/10
Call me crazy, but if you have been playing LAGish, could you open push on the flop? There's no way he'll think he's behind, especially if it's a case where he's annoyed and "out to get you".
I only play $200nl right now, but I'm sure this play would work against someone you "know" has AA or KK. If you were, him, would you lay it down to an open push? I used this play the other day with a guy who was fixin' to slowplay me next time he picked up a hand. I raised 3x with TT, he called. Checked to me on flop of QT9. I pushed. He insta-called with AA. |
