I would think if you knew what you ROI was (over a consistent bases) at a certain level you have already beat it enough to have more than enough buy-ins to have you covered. Bankroll questions usually come up when you are just starting at the low levels, or when you are moving up after beating the low levels, no? In both questions the ROI would be unknown.

Well, unless you are tapping your bankroll to pay for life or to donate to MTT.

"and I'd like to notch that down, obviously"

You'd actually like to notch that up (that'd just mean your've made money in poker ).

"The question is when to move up to 22's."

As long as you are decent at the $11s, then the move up should be made just on financial decisions (ie whether you can afford it or not). I think you need to choose a figure you can cope with losing, and then base your BR management around that.

Nice little bankroll guide. Haven't seen anything like this in... two days!

Bankroll requirements & math

Just kidding. I suppose your extra columns for other RORs make this post original enough. Somebody ought to expand this out and format it nicely.

Regards

I searched for a bankroll guide and didnt find any so I made my own .Ill suppose even place distribution between 1-3. No rakeback included and the typical vig( 10% of buy-in). The three numbers next to each ROI are: buy-ins required for 10% risk of ruin, buy-ins reuqired for 1% ROR, buy-ins reuqired for no ROR( well for a 0,000001% of ROR)

ROI 5,26%: 56 , 110 , 387
ROI 8,70%: 34, 69 , 239
ROI 11,10%: 27, 54 , 215
ROI 14,94%: 21 ,40, 163
ROI 17,65%: 17, 35 , 122
ROI 20,48: 16, 30, 76.

aleomagus confidence spreadsheet gave me these numbers, btw if ure megacool high ROI is not here u can always get the number by urself on aleomagus confidence spreadsheet.

Doesn't this assume that your ROI is constant?
