Bankroll guide.

I searched for a bankroll guide and didnt find any so I made my own .Ill suppose even place distribution between 1-3. No rakeback included and the typical vig( 10% of buy-in). The three numbers next to each ROI are: buy-ins required for 10% risk of ruin, buy-ins reuqired for 1% ROR, buy-ins reuqired for no ROR( well for a 0,000001% of ROR)

ROI 5,26%: 56 , 110 , 387
ROI 8,70%: 34, 69 , 239
ROI 11,10%: 27, 54 , 215
ROI 14,94%: 21 ,40, 163
ROI 17,65%: 17, 35 , 122
ROI 20,48: 16, 30, 76.

aleomagus confidence spreadsheet gave me these numbers, btw if ure megacool high ROI is not here u can always get the number by urself on aleomagus confidence spreadsheet.

I'm a bit dense, what do the first 2 numbers represent?

It's just one number, he uses a comma in place of a decimal point, if that's what you're asking

Interesting numbers but this is only for people who refuse to step down in limits or are unable to (eg an $11er). The $11er should be able to replenish their BR pretty quickly anyway though, which just leaves the guys who refuse to jump back down.

Bankroll guide: Have 40 buyins of the next stake up to move up. When that drops back down to 20 move back down to the next level. Don't move up if you can't do ok at the next level though. Save up more buyins for each stake if you are uncomfortable with moving back down.

eg my br management:
Less than $400 play $11s
More than $400 play $22s
More than $1700, play $55s until I drop back to $900.

When/if I hit the 109s?? Well that's at least a month away and I'll probally be attacking them with 5k to LOSE.

I guess you could call this a step style BR, and it works fine. ROR is basically zilch for a good player.

So, 30 buyins is enough at the 55s? I'm over bankrolled for the 55s then, but I still play the 22s.

I would think if you knew what you ROI was (over a consistent bases) at a certain level you have already beat it enough to have more than enough buy-ins to have you covered. Bankroll questions usually come up when you are just starting at the low levels, or when you are moving up after beating the low levels, no? In both questions the ROI would be unknown.

"So, 30 buyins is enough at the 55s"

If you are a profitable player and reinvest profits (back into your BR) for a while then yes probally (it's possible you'll suffer a 30 buyins losing streak right away, just very unlikely).

If you're talking about a constant bankroll (ie always 30) then no.

Re: Bankroll guide.

This is what I more or less plan on doing. I've already played one hundred 11's with an ROI of 14% (crappy luck) and caught a heater when I played my first sixteen 22's (45% ROI).

The question is when to move up to 22's. Right now my poker bankroll accounts for approximately 40% of my net worth, and I'd like to notch that down, obviously.
