Re: Honestly - pet peeves, angle shoots and what not
So you only want the rules to be followed when it's in your favor? My god you're a hypocrite. In terms of angle shooting I'd say this is like a 2/10, in terms of being an irritating personality trait it's like a 8/10.

You seem like a type that it's your way or the highway.
There's no room for interpetation(sp). You read what I wrote and you know exactly what's going on and what it's like to play with me. I'll tell you this - if everyone played with my manners and etiquette(sp), poker would be a hell of a lot more enjoyable for all. What a guy ... FU! |

Lol,
My way or the highway...umm yea. How does me saying you're a hypocrite equate to "my way or highway". You very clearly stated, you like the rules followed in one situation where the rule was acting in your favor and you don't like the rules followed in the situation where it wasn't in your favor....How is that not being a hypocrite! In either case, I agreed with you...I don't think your personal rules for showing in turn/not showing is an angle shoot..I called it a 2/10. I just think being a hypocrite is an irritating personality trait. |

I don't get everyone's obsession with not showing their cards at showdown. As soon as the action is completed on the river I flip mine over and hope for the best. I either take down the pot or I don't- I am not embarrassed to show a hand. Hell, if you ARE embarrassed to show a hand, that is probably the best time to do it! Let everyone think you are a donk. Re: Honestly - pet peeves, angle shoots and what not
My own policy when I know, or am fairly sure I have the winner, is to just show it right away whether it's my "turn" or not. This gives my opponents the chance to ditch that trash they called my value-bet while holding, without embarrassing them into playing better against me next time. Think along these lines, not the ones you are currently thinking on. That's my advice. Always be quick to show your strength and let your opponents save face if they are playing chit against you.

Not only do I show immediately, I also scream out with joy my holding.

Seriously, if getting kicked in the nuts was a legitimate concern(other than when Al's around), most of this stuff would never happen.
