you may have dropped a decimal? i count ~1.2 million / 3400 = $343 (with HUUUUGE variance). [/ QUOTE ] Fair enough. I guess I just look at the fact that even a good player will get so sucked out on so often, that the actual value of the seat is much lower. And also look at how top heavy the tourney is. without the first place money, the seat value goes way way down, and whoever wins this event will be crowned the greatest lucksack of all time (not the best player). -Scott |

Re: Paradise Freemillion
yeah, i wouldn't pay anywhere near $340 for a seat. maybe like $80. cause the difference between winning 100k and one million is fairly small (certainly not 10x anyway).

Re: Paradise Freemillion
Yep, I experienced this too when playing the poker freemillion.. now, I don't mind playing ultra tight on the bubble if there is no difference b/w 1st and 30th (as is the case with the qualifier), but taking time max. time and colluding is just unethical and degrading to the game.. but it all comes full circle I am sure of that.
P.S. I think it goes hand for hand when a certain number of people are left, but I am not 100% sure. |

Re: Paradise Freemillion
4. Final 10 will play face-to-face in Paradise!
The 10 players at the final table will be taken on an all-expenses paid luxury vacation to an exotic Paradise location to finish the remaining portion of the tournament face-to-face in front of the tv cameras. The winner will walk away one million dollars richer. The live final table is tentatively scheduled to take place mid September 2005. Do i have to be 21??? |
