Just put him in on the flop. Why mess around?

Flop push makes my hand very obvious. I only get called by 2 pair or better. Also, no reason to go broke with AA here when the opponent has suggested some strength. Better I think to see a turn and re-evaluate. Remember, I do have the Ac.

So I went out for a walk and thought about the response I just made...

I kind of cheated here with the "bothersome" title and looked for how you were beat. In all honesty I still think that a medium pair (88-JJ) is entirely possible and probably as likely as the small suited connectors.

All-in-all I do like your line here. I would not shove Post-Flop and by the time you bet the turn you are committed, so all-in is a good way to go.

I promise that I did not look at your results post yet, so I have no clue what he had, but I will go there now.

I read the c/r here to be some sort of a pair + draw type hand hoping to either take me off unpaired overs or maybe build a pot if he hits on the turn.

and you have less than a pot-sized bet left. I guess if you feel comfortable enough folding to a turn push, fine, but what if the wrong draw hits and he pushes? I don't know. I feel like the stacks are certainly short enough to make pushing the flop a good line in order to avoid folding the best hand on the turn. And if he will really fold pair+draw on the flop to a push here, that's great. More reason to push.

Obviously you played this well, and obviously this is a bad beat story in disguise. You and me meeting up in AC next week Pubs?

Maybe Sunday. I think I'm picking my girlfriend up at BWI airport Sunday night so AC Saturday into Sunday might work out.

This doesn't sound like a bad thing considering your read.
