OK English is not my first language. So maybe "pathetic" is too heavy (?). I didn't mean to insult you.

I don't care if the guy is stupid enough to lose his money. He should stay away from poker if he can't afford it. But I wouldn't go that far to "whore" myself (bad English again?) to get a few $$'s from him. I think we are here to learn how to play better and this kind of behaviour doesn't have anything to offer.

Continue to take his money every single day, and never feel bad about it. If he sucked out on you, he wouldn't feel sorry for winning the pot. For the people who are saying it's pathetic, I'm not sure why they play poker. I have a huge buddy list full of people I follow around.

i think your perspective is a tad different than #1 mine, #2 the other player's (i generally don't call ppl "fish"). your's is one of playing better and improve your play for higher limits.

his is: i have a couple bucks to blow; i like the thrill of the gamble and the big suckout; i don't care if i lose because i'm just playing for fun.

mine: i look at this like a teaching experience. to try and teach him to play better.....no...wait, i just like taking his money

How's this different than looking for a high VPIP table?

what is wrong with following someone around? it doesn't mean you have less skill. Poker is a game where you are trying to make money, looking for bad players is a big part of the game. If you don't take this guys money someone else will.

I don't play this game very long (less than 6 months ) but I think that after you have read all the books and all the 2+2 threads, there is only one way to improve your game. Play against good players. This is not the most profitable but when you are doing your fisrt steps you care less about maximising your profits (you won't make a fortune in 0.5/1) and more about getting better.

And of course you still look for high VPIP tables most of the times but you shouldnt avoid the challenge of sometimes playing better opponents and at higher stakes.
My initial complaint was about the style of chasing the "idiot" and trying to befriend him etc. Let's stay focused on the game.

are you seriously calling me pathetic or are you joking?

and yes, if my grandma can't notice that i'm a better poker player, find where she is playing, and constantly take her money, but she is willing to keep playing, i will "steal" from my grandma...but then again i don't like my grandma

ps: it isn't stealing if the victim willing hands over their money.

I think the idea of pretending to be his friend to get his money reminds this poster of a prostitute. In a sense it is very similar.

give me his username and i will give you a definitive answer, promise.

really, i don't think it's unethical to follow him around if he doesn't speak up (if he does, i'd back off like others suggested).

the worst that can happen is probably getting both accounts flagged for collusion if you do this excessively. not sure what the online casino would do from there, or if they would require more proof.

I really don't see why this would be a reason to not follow this guy around. Is there something in the Terms of Service on Party that you can't use the buddy list for finding players and following them around? If anything, you're putting the guy on tilt further by being this annoying guy following him around and he'll play worse, resulting in more money for you.
