Sometimes cooperation is better than conflict. Sometimes conflict is better than cooperation. It depends.

No offense meant, but isn't your question overly simplistic?
In that spirit I would say that you..... ....seek to avoid conflict when you believe that it not in your best interest. ....seek to embrace conflict when you believe that it is in your best interest. Now the decision is one of determining what is, or is not, in your best interest. |

Please explain your statement.
I see no validity at all to the proposition that you should always avoid conflict. Regards, Al |

this is the way i do it:
i figure out whatever it is i want to do, and then i use my mind to try and minimize conflict, kinda a 'path of least resistence' i may even give up on a goal if the conflict gets so bad, only in extreme cases |

People who always try to avoid conflict are pansies.
Anyone wanna challenge that? |

No. I think if your question was a little more specific or had an example of a situation you would get some better answers--I only read a couple.

i got this from my study of eastern asia, where the karate masters say that it is always best to avoid conflict. Yes i like philosophy and this was just a question.I thought Sun Tzu said that war is about who avoids conflict best.- bryce.

This might be a Relativist approach, but since you cannot identify EVERY situation-an infinite amount-you cannot definitively answer this question?
