I went last summer (20 years old), but I didn't gamble. It was fun, but it sucked at the same time. I played some slots, but I didn't play much since I would've been screwed if I hit anything worthwhile. I did drink though. The only time my age was ever questioned was when we were walking into some casino downtown (forget which one) and they were giving out free drink coupons and drawing entries (or something like that) at the door. All they did was ask if we were all 21 as we were walking in. Funny thing is, she seemed more worried about my sister than me even though she is 3 years older. I'd personally recommend that you avoid anything that might have a big payout and stick to lower variance bets. That way, if you are up some, you can hopefully cash out with less hassle than if you hit a jackpot and go somewhere else to win more. Be careful, but if you do gamble, just act like you own the place. Don't act nervous or anything. Act like you belong there and nothing is out of the ordinary. Drinking should be no problem as long as they are buying your drinks for you and giving them to you away from the bar.

Hmm...I need to plan a trip for my 21st bday this summer

I friend of mine recently made a trip to actually Bowl in Vegas, but he is also a very good NL Holdem player he is 18 and does not look a day over 18, he went and played the 25/50 NL game at the stations I belive, and had not problems, he also noted that at the other casinos, he once found a younger security guy in the bathroom, threw him a $50 and got a stamp so he could go and play blackjack, if your bribing any one in vegas to let you in casinos make sure its in the bathrooms only place there is no eye in the sky.

i have been to LV three times and have been carded once. I've played every table game and been to a lot of clubs and bars and used my ID there a lot. I'm only 18 and look about 18. I did work on growing out a full beard the last couple times I've been out there, but I'm paranoid 24/7 when I'm in the casino, especially the pit. just get wasted and stay away from gambling. if you do gamble, I suggest the palms, they seem to be pretty leniant on checking young people identification for table games, and you will never get carded in the poker room.
