I think that the case for a fold gets stronger and then weaker as you progress up in stakes. Low limit players should be called because they are bad enough to think they are ahead with A6o here. High limit players should be called because they are aggressive enough to make this move with a pair+draw or other hands you are ahead of. But I think there is a significant percentage of good players at, say, NL50-NL200 who are simply quite unlikely to make that move without a set and even then, there is the chance that the BB will have been raising a set even if the re-raiser isn't.
Please keep in mind here that in the hand posted I agreed with the call and that with these stack sizes I think that a call is merited except against known rocks that are re-raising. |

needless to say, when that spade fell, i thoguht a laggy fish just got lucky on me. but when i took down the pot with top 2 pair. i was incredibly surprised to see my opponents hands. thanks for the input so far. it seems like this hand has created quite a discussion. keep it comin
