Villian in hand 1 had QQ and pulled down the pot.
Villians in hand 2 made straights on the river, and MHIG. Moral of the story, don't let beats like hand 1 (my first hand of last night's session) make you play flush draws weakly later on. |

In the second one we aren't rasing the flop because we are trying to trap people?
Raising here doesn't seem that bad. |

The reason I didn't raise was because I didn't want to scare people off of the hand. If SB had checked to me, I would have bet, but I felt that I wouldn't get enough callers from a raise to make it optimal. Once it got more action from later positions, I put on the accelerator.
