Default Building big pots with flush draws, 2 hands

Not really much content, just wanted to show two hands where I tried to build the pot with flush draws.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, Hero calls, 1 fold, Button raises, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 3-bets, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero calls, Button calls, UTG+1 calls.

I think that my pf line is marginal, since I had to call 2 bets, but since it looked like 5 of us were going to the flop, I called. I feel like the rest of the hand is standard, crappy scare card at the end.

Flop: (17.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players)
UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 3-bets, Hero caps, Button calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls.

Turn: (16.75 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, Button calls, UTG+1 calls.

River: (19.75 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, Button raises, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 25.75 BB

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, 1 fold, SB raises, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (10 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (5 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 raises, CO calls, SB 3-bets, Hero caps, UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, SB calls.

At first after the flop, I didn't want to thin out the field, but with action, I decided to call-raise, and go for building the pot.

Turn: (13.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, UTG+1 calls, CO calls, SB calls.

River: (17.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, SB calls.

Final Pot: 23.50 BB

I'd 3-bet the river on the first one.

Definitely 3bet the river on the first one. It's not UTG+2 getting frisky, it's Button. He probably just has trips.

First hand 3 bet the river, second hand looks fine.

I don't like 3-betting that river, but so what.

Where'd the 4th player go?

3betting the river is +EV.

Do you see why?

I'm not sure if I would put the button on having trips with 7s after he raised pf.

Yes I would, but I don't think that he would have trip 7's, either. Maybe a set of 7s, but not trips.

Maybe he decided to get cute with Kings or Aces on the river.
