If this is a tight player who limped and raised on the Q and went all in, im 80-90% sure you're behind.

I had been firing at a ton of pots and taken them down as the table was very weak tight. I raised three pots in a row shortly before this and took them all down without a fight. I also made some big odd looking bets in the previous half hour that could be viewed as weak hands. At one point he even commented on my play. I hadnt shown down much, but he didnt have any reason to think that I was on a strong hand so he could be trying to push me off.

I that there was enough of a possibility he was pushing me off that I wanted to call but I didnt want to commit all my chips.

I had played with this guy for an hour and a half without seeing him make a significant bet. However, I never played with him and my read wasnt 100%.

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but how do you put the guy on 44?

QJT is a dangerous board. If that player is so tight, you have to figure you are beaten on the turn. AK, QQ, JJ, and TT are unlikely, since he didn't raise preflop. He could have QJ, QT, 98, or K9.

Just make sure you are right on your read of the player. Some of these live NL games are pretty wild, even at that level. Someone may appear to be real tight by not being one of 5 callers of a raise and still be capable of making a move.

I think the flop bet was too small. With JT on the flop, there is a good chance someone has connected someway and will call, and there are a lot of cards that can make someone 2-pair or a straight on the turn or river.

I bet $15. Any more and these guys are usually folding.

Isn't this a good thing? Why not just pot the flop?
