Why don't players think that they are "playing" when they fold?

Why don't players think that they are "playing" when they fold? [/ QUOTE ] Because at that time I am on tilt, and when you're on tilt it ain't "playing" unless you're in the hand. Surely you're not trying to insinuate you've never done this. |

[ QUOTE ]
This is another case of our minds finding a pattern where none exists. how many flops and hole card did you see that you can not remember? [/ QUOTE ] Bingo! I notice patterns all the time while multitabling and while my mind takes notice of the various coincidences that occur, it's completely oblivious to the many, many hands that go by without any obvious similarities. Remember, when multitabling online you are seeing many more hands than a B&M player (4 tables x 60 hands/hr x 3 hours = 270 hands = 20 hours @ 35 hands/hr in B&M). At this dramatically accelerated rate of play, you're bound to notice combinations and similarities that would never occur to your mind in an offline casino - i.e. four or more hands later, your mind would never say "wow, I could've used that K55 flop when I had the freeplay with K5c in the BB earlier". |

I 4-table and this makes no impact on me whatsoever.
I can't believe it can actually effect people emotionally. I view them as two completely separate games with different players and different textures. I'm usually too busy looking at hand histories of past hands to find out what people are caling down with and thereby getting reads. |

It's happened to me quite a bit since I started multi-tabling, but that was only a few weeks ago.
If I fold a hand, I put the cards on the that table out of my mind right away so I don't get mixed up with the tables I'm still playing on. TomBk |

I definitely do the same thing. =)
I usually check close to see if it'd been "possible" ie. one K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in your hand, and one K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the flop. If it was possible, then I get extra mad . Definitely a waste of time though...lol. |

What you describe is definitely not just a coincidence. There is no way that could've happened randomly -- it's just too weird. Someone is messing with you. If I were you, I would definitely consider changing sites and/or your handle so that they will stop messing with you. Just my opinion.

If you 8-table this happens pretty often. There's no reason to tilt though . . .

I see this sometimes. It's good for a laugh.
Learning not to care about bad beats and short-term luck is a long hard journey for most of us. Your reaction to this odd event is a sign you have a ways to go. Speculation: somewhere deep in your heart you were already feeling shortchanged by the RNG. The "missed" boats tapped into that. |
