I flat called the turn. Before the river came out, my opponent said "Well shoot, I check blind!" I said "Okay, I will too." I guess I just didn't want to face an all-in bet if the river was a high card.
My opponent then said "Let's turn 'em over," and tabled A3o. I tabled my A8o. The river was an 8 and I scooped the $750 pot. The guy next to me said, "That was stupid. You could have had the rest of his $400." |

Yeah, this is silly. Your opponent has just checked, so you can't face the allin. You are free to bet if the river card is in your favour. Unless I'm missing something. |
