I only recently moved up to Party 1/2, but based on what I've seen so far I agree with droolie's assessment. Stars .5/1 is actually tougher than Party 1/2. And the conventional wisdom seems to be that Party 2/4 is significantly softer than Party 1/2 (thanks to no 6 max tables).
Obviously you want to build your bankroll and don't overextend yourself, but seriously once you accumulate $300 I would make the move to Party .5/1 asap. |

.25/.5 games on PS are about the same, maybe a little harder.

.02/.04 and .05/.10 are play money. And people treat them as such. I spent a lot of time at these limits and learned little to nothing. There is something to be said for building your BR, but if you can beat these games sufficiently, take a shot. (with a BR that can handle it of course).

[/ QUOTE ] When I was playing those limits on stars, I only found a very small number of maniacs who would raise/bet every opportunity. Most everyone else just played too loosely/passively for the most part. My own opinion is that a new player can learn alot at these levels without risking a whole lot of money when first getting started. My SD for .05/.10 was something like 20BB, but I steadily won 600BB there before I moved up. |

I think you ought to play at .05/.1 just until you are comfortable with the format and rules of the game, then go to .25/.50. That's what I did at Pacific. They have a .1/.2 also I played at. After probably 1-2000 hands of nano limits I was up $10. I went to .25/.50 and I started really making a few bucks.

. Don't spend much time on .05/.10, you'll develop bad habits. The money is too insignificant for people to behave the way they should in a real money game. [/ QUOTE ] I'm about to move away from this level(.05/.10)...what bad habits should i look out for to make sure i don't start off bad at a regular .25/50 or .50/1 limits |
