How are the comps for poker players [/ QUOTE ] Non-existant. Completely. And the only drinks that are free are coffee and soda. Good luck with the waitresses, you will need it. Don't be surprised if 1) you can't get a waitress to help you, and 2) if you do get helped, it may take 1+ hours to get your order. Seriously, worst service I've ever experienced. Other than that, I still had a fun time there. As said, weekend night wait times can be horrendous. Last time we went, we signed in at 8:15, and didn't get seated until shortly before midnight. Another alternative close by is Derby Lane in St. Pete. Same deal, no more than $2 bets (Florida law). However, they run DAILY $45 entry NL tournaments as well. Me and my crew are going there this Sunday for the first time, so I will post a report after. And a final alternative is The Ocean Jewel which recently re-opened, which does have higher stakes poker, as well as NL tournaments, including a WSOP tournament. Hoping to check it out sometime before Christmas. |
