What everyone is saying is that you don't get people folding in loose-passive games. They call, that's what they do, it's why they came. So you bet expecting them to call, not trying to chase them off. Sounds like what you want is tight-passive.

yes, yes, of course, I didn't state it correctly. I had my game types correct (loose, tight, etc) but didn't explain myself very well.

thanks for clearing that up!

Now, does anyone have any comment on the original question, which is how does one use the table statistics to find the most profitable table?

Bison,

Consider reading TOP, HPFAP, and SSH. Perhaps that will clear up your misunderstanding.

he's ok, I made a misstatement in my original post that caused people to miss the point of my original post. My fault completely.

Now, the original question, as I should have stated it remains:

What's the best way to use table statistics in online poker to find the most profitable table? (I wish I'd just asked it like that originally! hee! )

Dont be too picky you want any amount of weak players whether they are LAG or LP doesnt really matter.

I mainly go for VPIP% if I can find a couple of 60%+ then thats great.

The mistakes a lot of people make against these any 2 type players is that they assume that their postflop skills are weak. Similar with preflop maniacs, make sure you watch them postflop so you know how they play.

If you can find tables with VPIP 40%+ this is where the big money is.

Yes try pokerstars. A wonderfully weak-tight bunch of players.

Sign on to Party Poker.
Open a table and sit down.
Count the number of players. If it's more than one, you're good to go.

ok, cool!

I'm a little new to online play...on Ultimate Bet it's just Flop=xx%, stating what percentage of persons see the flop. Is that the same as VPIP? I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out what VPIP stands for.

thanks!
