Where would you recommend some one new to B&M go (i.e. who has the best 2/4 or 3/6 games)?

Look in your area for a mini casino with a cardroom. Most spread this limit at first. They all tend to play the same. Though usually they are on the wild aggressive side.

4-8 they tend to calm a bit.

There are a couple more I'd like to go to:

Rascal's in South Seattle: http://www.rascalscasino.com/ Looks like they have small stakes he and Omaha.

Also, Wizards Casino in Burien:
http://www.wizards-casino.com/
More low limit hold-em.

I'll fill on for Goldies' and Freddie's Club in Fife, The Roman in Skyway, and Skyway park bowl:

Goldie's: Before I moved to Portland, this is where I played. TONS of regulars who play TONS of hours. Pretty decent games, decent players who often like to gamble, and a decent amount of fish. They have four tables, spreading 3/6, 3/6 Kill, 4/8, and 4/8 Kill. Fun morning tournament, usually around 30-40 players with a 10 buy-in, one ten dollar re-buy. They add as well, first is usually between 400 and 500. If you have fairly decent no limit skills it's not hard to get to the final table a large majority of the time, cashing at a high percentage. 8 dollar comp just for sitting down. Players club is a HUGE plus. Top 50 players EACH WEEK are entered into a free $1000 free roll each Sunday, I believe there's one $20 rebuy.

Freddie's in Fife: Only been twice, but both times full of HORRIBLE players. Like always, these games can be great and frustrating. You hit, you get paid off.

The Roman: Haven't been in a while, but from what I hear it's the same. Games are often half off-the-clock dealers. 2-4 might as well be 4-8. Chips are tossed around like mad. Free food.

Skyway: Run of the mill games. I've never come across fantastic players there, but can't say I've seen horrible ones. Play too many hands, but not crazy hands. No perks.

Second the comments on the drift on inn. The betting and raising patterns are completely from outer space.
