Default Opponent play and categories

CJS - Not very good play on this deal by your opponents, in my humble opinion.

Although some opponents change gears, most don't. Pretty hard to categorize your opponents after just one hand, but usually they tend to follow the same patterns of play throughout the session. At least that's my opinion, based on my observations and experience. (However, stay alert to the possibility of someone with varying styles).

MP should fold after the flop, to the bet and call on the second betting round. (I would categorize MP as "Passive Gambler").

Hard (for me) to understand SB's thinking. Does SB simply not know what a good hand and a good flop fit are? (in which case I would categorize SB as "Action Clueless"). Or does SB realize he has garbage for a starting hand and a very poor fit with the flop, but believe that nobody else has a good fit with this flop either, and that if he bangs away long enough he can bulldoze his opponents into giving up? (in which case I would categorize SB as "Bully").

Sometimes the categories help me understand and predict how my opponents will play.

Default Re: How much more aggression in a short handed O8 game?

Ghazban - Thanks for the clarification.

I'm sure there's lots of stuff you know but I don't.
