You might consider increasing the font size in your browser and other programs. Also, it's good to look away from the monitor every 20 minutes or so and let your eyes focus on an object at a different depth. This helps reduce eye strain.

Nevar! I've been staring at a monitor at least 8 hours a day for the past 6-7 years. Yes I realize I have no life.
