What do you mean "Sweat them"? Are they easier than 5/10 or something?

I have never played the tables but from what I have observed they are rock gardens, where the rocks have moss growing all over them. The best time to play these tabes are around 12am EST then you will find the occasional table with some severe idiots who donate to the rocks. Otherwise you will be lucky to marginally beat these games.....

Shorthanded is surprisingly easy to pick up as long you know how to play in general when its folded to you in MP, if you just assume that you have a decent basis.

Sweat them meaning watch them.

I've heard they're softer, and on the occasions I've watched them, they looked pretty soft.

Very interesting. I wonder why it tightens up at 5/10 and then goes loose again at 15/30? Doesn't seem natural.

It's because people with money won't play 5/10, it doesn't have the glamour so the bad player who makes 100K a year will play 15/30 and shoot off 1K and enjoy that, rather then get ground down by the rocks at 5/10. I know the bad gamblers mentality, they would rather lose 1000 then win 10.......

I hear this a lot.
I track every session, average pot size, bb/pot, etc.

3/6
Sessions: 1130
Hands: 76,674
Average Pot (BB): 6.023
Average Pot ($): $36.13
ASF: 32.25

5/10
Sessions: 136
Hands: 9,816
Average Pot (BB): 5.866
Average Pot ($): $58.66
ASF: 29.38%

Of course, the 5/10 games are probably on average a bit more aggressive, but not quite the struggle for the blinds that they are made out to be (small sample size, I know)

Regards,
Kevin

I hear this alot and I think it's a bit misleading. I don't think either game is particularly tough if you use good table selection, but I don't think the 15/30 is much softer (i've only played a few thousand hands here though). The 5/10 game is tighter preflop, but people play very badly post-flop. From what I can tell it's just the opposite with 15/30, there are usually more players seeing the flop (and it's usually raised) but they tend to play much better post-flop.
