Re: 2/4 AA
1) Rock on.
2) 'Kay. 3) What range of hands do you expect your typical player at a typical 2/4 Stars game to raise you on the river with, when you've shown strength for three streets? Do you have notes on this guy as being esp. overaggressive and bullheaded headsup? What's calling your threebet (or capping) that you can beat? |

Re: 2/4 AA
He's seen you three-bet pf. He can't be confident you have AK/AQ after your turn 3-bet, therefore he likely beats TP. He doesn't have KK or AA (no 3-bet w position pf). JJ TT & 88 (7) are about as plentiful as JTs & QQ (8). The 2 of clubs will not elicit a semi-bluff-raise from anyone. I suspect the post is here b/c you ended up having him beat, but calling the river raise is +EV long-term w/o a read or a sense that you're being read as unreasonably aggressive.

Re: 2/4 AA
The river three-bet is spewing and you know it. Come on, his river raise is going to be JJ/TT/Q9/random 8 a lot more often than, say, JT. Some unknowns do figure out that the bottom board card pairing weakens their top two.

Re: 2/4 AA
Against an unknown this can't be too terrible, but I think given the turn and river action I don't think you are good often enough to warrant a 3bet, especially if youre calling a cap.

3) I'm ahead of a lot of hands. [/ QUOTE ] No, you're really not. After the river raise there's not very many hands that you're going to beat with your overpair. Just call. |

He could play JT this way, easily. [/ QUOTE ] Playing JT this way would be seriously retarded IMO |

Re: 2/4 AA
Without a very good read, I don't see how this is anything other than spewing...

Re: 2/4 AA
At party the river 3 bet is only a little bad, while at stars you can barely 3 bet the turn.
