Default Re: Definitions

I just thought some would be interested to note page 19 in Sklanksy, Malmuth, and Miller's SSHE where it says in no uncertain terms, "poker IS gambling".

i know the thread has ended...but this just seemed like a more appropriate final post.

David, Mason, Ed, Phil Ivey, Doyle, Berry, Johnny, Chip and/or 4 or 5 world class players decide they disagree and want to take you up on the 15-30 proposition. Now are you gambling?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, not me, they would be gambling. 15-30 is my game. You don't seem to understand the most important skill that a pro poker player can develop (incidently I'm not a pro) and that is Game selection. Why would I sit in a game with a bunch of pros? If you do that and there are no bad players in the game to feed off of you are making a huge mistake. David and Mason will agree, I'm sure.

Poker is not Gambling and Clinton did not have sex with that woman…..

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a silly attempt at an analogy. Clinton lied... even if I'm wrong I didn't lie.

Because you invited them.

If any of you believe that poker is a gambling game, given this definition, and treat it as such, please play at my table.

Man, this forum is entertaining.
