Re: Cheap dinners that actually pwn
You've got the humidity right? Humidity definitely sucks. Out in "the valley" north of L.A. where I live, though, we have been getting temperatures around 105 for a while now, well into the 90's at night too. I go to sleep with Blue Ice packs on my arm and belly.

Re: Cheap dinners that actually pwn
Yeah humidity blows. When I was out in Vegas it was 108 and we walked around on the street for like 45 minutes and barely broke a sweat. 108 in Vegas is more comfortable than say...85 in Houston? No joke either..
You learn to walk around with a soaked shirt pretty much all summer. October, November, and February are phenomenal though. In my opinion putting up with horrible weather for 9 mos. isn't worth it for those other 3 glorious months. Sleeping with ice packs on your stomach? Do you have A/C? Or are you talking about sunburn.. |

AC in the living room, not the bedroom.
I grew up in the tropics so I know what you mean about humidity. Walk around soaked and stinky all the time. Sucks a lot, feels 20 degrees hotter. |

Re: Cheap dinners that actually pwn
For the highest deliciousness to difficulty in making ratio I recommend owning a deep fryer. My standard breakfast for when i can't think of anything else is chicken nuggets and french fries.
Directions: Turn on deep fryer, go do something for 10-15 minutes while it heats to 375. Throw some precut frozen crinkle fries in, wait 2 and a half minutes. Throw some frozen chicken nuggets in there, (I recomend Tyson) wait 2 and a half minutes And you're done, shake off excess grease, dump on a plate, add salt, pepper and malt vinegar to taste, dip in BBQ sauce. It's like getting take out fast food right in your kitchen, only it's easier. ps. This only works if you have your own deep fryer. My parents being English eat french fries (chips) with every leftover meal and many original meals. The key to a good chip pan is you never change the oil. |
