Can this really be true? I have never played competitive chess but 1000 straight is very hard for me to believe.

Playing chess online for cash is simply impossible. There is a lot of cheating going on these servers, even though there is no money involved

In internet chess there is one thing called premove which means you can make your moves before your opponent has answered your previous move, so in theory you can play a whole game in 0 seconds.
Thats what he does when his clocks stops at the end of the game in extreme time trouble.
